Liam McLellan joins MC Lawyers & Associates as a Law Graduate, currently completing the final steps towards admission and is expected to be admitted as an Australian Legal Practitioner by December 2026. Liam completed a Bachelor of Laws with Honours at Monash University, in addition to a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Philosophy.

Prior to joining MC Lawyers & Associates, Liam spent three years as a Judge’s Associate at the County Court of Victoria. During this time, he worked closely with judicial officers and gained extensive exposure to criminal proceedings across all stages of the litigation process. His experience included observing and assisting with complex criminal matters, pre-trial hearings, pleas, sentencing proceedings and jury trials, providing him with a strong practical understanding of courtroom procedure and the operation of the criminal justice system.

Liam’s time at the County Court also provided him with a unique insight into the way criminal matters are presented and determined from the perspective of the Court. This experience has strengthened his ability to analyse legal issues, understand complex evidence and proceedings, and appreciate the importance of careful preparation and clear advocacy in achieving the best possible outcome for a client. Liam’s background in philosophy complements his legal practice, particularly his ability to think critically, consider different perspectives and approach complex issues with a measured and analytical mindset.

Capable, eager to learn and committed to developing his legal practice, Liam approaches each matter with professionalism, attention to detail and a genuine desire to assist his clients. He is a calm and confident communicator who is comfortable engaging with clients, counsel and other practitioners, both in and outside the courtroom. He is enthusiastic about building his career in criminal law and looks forward to continuing to develop his advocacy and legal skills as part of the team at MC Lawyers & Associates.
